Treaty 8 Livelihood and Land Use Planning.

Our work is rooted in the True Spirit and Intent of Treaty No. 8, guided by the voices of Elders, land users, and community members across northern Alberta. We are proud to advance Indigenous-led solutions that honour traditional knowledge, protect the environment, and uphold Treaty rights. Through key initiatives such as the Climate Change Strategy, Moose Study, and Caribou Action Plan, we work collaboratively to safeguard the land, water, and wildlife that are essential to the well-being and cultural continuity of our Nations.

From engaging with the United Nations on water rights to leading the development of the KeeTasKeeNow Nahendeh Pimatisihowin framework, our efforts are both local and global. We are shaping a future where Indigenous knowledge systems guide sustainable land use, environmental conservation, and climate resilience. Through partnerships, community engagement, and advocacy, we are building pathways to self-determination and ecological stewardship across Treaty 8 Territory.
